Structural Systems, Inc. was founded in 1969 and incorporated in 1970. Joe Hightower founded the firm and is the principal owner. Mr. Hightower is currently retired but takes an active role in overseeing the business. The corporate structure consists of John Hightower as President, Tom Hightower as Executive Vice President, and Joe Hightower as treasurer and acting corporate secretary.

Mr. Hightower began his association with Butler Manufacturing in 1954 and has actively sold Butler products since. John and Tom Hightower have been working with Butler products for 8 and 18 years respectively. John has a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Montana. Tom has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Along with their College education's, both John and Tom worked in the field during their pre-college years.

John Hightower, President - John has a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Montana and has been with the company since 1992.

Tom Hightower, Executive VP - Tom has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and has been with SSI since 1982.

Joe Hightower, Secretary/Treasurer - Joe founded the company, is principal owner and remains active in the overall business.

Mark Longtin, Project Manager - Mark graduated from Montana State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Constructional Engineering Technology with a Minor in Management. He started employment with Structural Systems, Inc. in 1997.

Phoebe Kessler, Office Manager - Phoebe recently joined the SSI team. Phoebe has over 20 years experience in the accounting field within numerous industries.

Structural Systems works as a General Contractor, a General Contractor for a Construction Manager and as a Subcontractor. SSI is a full service General Contractor and steel-related Subcontractor working with conventional structures, pre-engineered Butler structures, concrete construction, steel stud framing, structural steel erection and reinforcing steel placement. SSI is signatory to the Ironworker's, Carpenter's and Laborer's Unions and serves on several trust and apprenticeship committees.
